Well, I am still in a state of shock (a bit!).

I can’t help but expressing my brief devastation after seeing our cutie oppa’s graduation picture. Is this his elementary or high school picture? Just asking.

Who wouldn’t be dismayed after finding out your beloved idol is now suspected to have gone  under the knife? Though I have nothing against cosmetic surgeries, but there are times that I view those who went through it are such a monster, especially those who have had enormous transformation to the point of looking far far far different from their past selves, just like Uhm Jun Hwa (though you don’t know her, but she is the lead actress of Seducing Mr. Perfect with Daniel Henney). No offense, but those who constantly goes through the knife for multiple times makes me think they’re having psychological disorder. I regard those people as insecure! My Gawd! There are lots of things far more important than the outer looks! There are instances that you can even work with the shape of your nose, lips, jaw, eyes, and so on without surgically improving it. Also, having went through the knife can possibly have further physical problems in the future, like you have to wear an eye cover for those who undergone eye surgery (because of the tendency for an eyefold to retract involuntarily, making the eyes half-open baring the white part of the eye. Not covering the eye may leave them too dry), back pains for those who had breast augmentation, and so on and so forth.

Take Kim Sun Ah (my My Name is Kim Sam Soon fame) for instance, we weren’t able to notice some signs of cosmetic surgery since she looks natural, only to be half-dismayed after the “before” pics has spread through the net like a wildfire. Her eyes were too small and made her look worse than a TV villain. In the end, the devastation went out because she will look even funny if she never thought of having through it.

And same thing goes for Kim Jeong Eun, Honey Lee, Lee Hyori, Park Shi-yeon, Bada, Eugene, etc…etc…

Back to Song Il-Gook, I’ve used to believe his looks are way natural since only women are the ones undergoing through that and it’s a rare thing for a guy to do it. Only Lee Junki, Kwon Sangwoo, HwanHee finally landed though the surgery bandwagon…and never thought that Il-Gook has joined with that before the said Korean Actors. Devastating because those whom I have regarded goddess, adonis, hunk, beautiful, handsome…are the ones whom I will find out that they are “retokados” (went through cosmetic surgery). It’s okay if they don’t have the Korean racist attitude, because those who have undergone surgeries have no right to be a racist! I hate those who nitpick on other’s “ugly side” whereas they themselves are motherfucking ugly, and if they happened to haven’t had surgery, they absolutely look worse than supernatural creatures. I absolutely hate those who look down on other’s complexion because it’s black and dark. Insecure people are the ones whom I abhor most!

I am not accusing Song Il-Gook and the rest of Korean stars of being racist and insecure. However, my only wish is that they won’t be having those sordid attitude. Lee Junki has tasted my fury, so I expect any of these Korean stars that if they don’t want to experience my insulting and degrading words, they should keep their mouth shut!

Am I gettin’ out of topic? Sorry, can’t help mentioning racism with surgery issues. These words should serve right on those who are about to spew bullshit on those darker and kinda’ imperfect than them.

Right now… my feelings towards Song Il-Gook is still in a shaky state. Sorry for my half-negative outlook towards Cosmetic Surgery. Kaya pala walang ibang pictures si Song Il-Gook except for baby, kiddy, and showbiz photos… the rest is nah! Feels like, my adoration and respect towards Song Il-Gook is about to drop slowly after seeing this picture.

Well, their decision for “rapid” transformation is beyond my control. If they wish to look nice and pleasing go ahead, but don’t forget PERSONALITY STILL MATTERS, because what’s the use of having goddess-like face if you look sluggish.

Lastly, back to Song Il-Gook…. I said to myself… who cares? What should his bashers have anything to do with this? After all, with our without eye surgery, he still looks cute and adorable. He had only double eyefolds… that’s it! The rest of his facial features are still the same: Face, nose, and his super-delicious lips. In fact, his lips here were jucier and more delicious… am I right, girls?

[P.S.: I would like to express my deep and sincere apology if I have offended any Korean actor or actress. I didn't meant to say these harsh words.

To the readers, click the names of Uhm Jung Hwa, Kim Jeong Eun, Kim Sun Ah if you wish to check their "before-and-after-pics"

You know who you are so please, prevent yourself from visiting this thread.]

GMA Network, you friggin’ spawn of unmarried antecedents (that if you can figure its vulgar one-word term)! Why all of you are such a bunch of goddamn retards!

You are getting even more devastating!

Devastating, because I recently saw your teaser on Hwang Jini’s upcoming finale or is its finale will be tomorrow? If my conclusions came true, the you GMA Asianovela staff will face a big deal of scrutiny from me and the rest of my fellas!

Hindi na kayo nagtanda. Pinutakan na kayo ng pinutakan ng mga Asianovela viewers due to your further axing (or chop-choping of scenes) of your previous Asianovelas, pero heto na naman kayo, sinumpong na naman ng usual topak ninyo on your Asianovelas.

So what if that show don’t rate and not able to topple its counterparts? Just because your asianovela suffers that, does that mean there are no viewers of that show? Then what do you call with a rating like these? 13%? 11%? Does that state “there are no viewers”?

If you think that, you GMA staffers are actually morons!

Sorry for the insults, but if you continue doing this, you will be suffering another great deal of lambastments, rants, and nitpicks from me because you are not able to satisfy your audience.

Even my fellow commentator (BTW, he is a Korean) expressed his abhorrence on what you are doing to your Asianovelas that don’t rate after sharing him what you did to Super Rookie, Good Luck, and My Strange Family. In fact, he said that it never happened in Korea—-whether it rate or not, the airing continues. He also added that what you are doing shows that you committed a gross disrespect on your viewers. Haven’t you realized that, GMA insiders?

Do you want me to share my article? Read it or I will call you morons forever!

Dear GMA NETWORK:

I just came across a comment from our fellow Korean commenter in this blog

http://www.filipinasoul.com/koreas-number-1-novela-premieres-on-gma.

You know what? I made him learn out of nowhere about your audacities in
axing Korean series because of low ratings, much to his enormous dismay!
If we Asianovela viewers were damn pissed off with what you’ve done to
MY STRANGE FAMILY, SUPER ROOKIE and Japan‘s GOOD LUCK and almost did
it to LOVE IN HEAVEN, what more if other Korean will find this? I assure you
GMA Network that you will garner lots of scrutiny from Koreans especially
those who are permanently/temporarily residing in the
Philippines.

Here is a message for you to be aware of:

roxy!
gma just pull off the ongoing drama just because of low rating?
can’t believe. that can never happen in korea.
don’t they have little respect for the viewers?
regardless of rationg it should be aired until it’s completely done.
very disspointing.
and change the time slots without noticing.
well.. those myabe just your tv culture.

rating is not all!
respect tv watchers.
what does MTRCB do for that?

[GMA, are you reading? Read: RESPECT THE VIEWERS!]

You are making another shame for the Philippines

as far as reputation in airing canned shows. It never happened in Korea as well as other countries.

GMA, if you wish to be trusted by Korean producers and broadcasters, never ever do such audacities like that.

ARASEO? ENTIENDES?

Please, take the Korean viewer’s advice.

It’s for your own FUCKING GOOD!

And do you want me to share my readers’ replies?

*marixguerzon wrote on Sep 2

emperor of the sea was seen via QTV 11 before Jumong on GMA 7

*marixguerzon wrote on Sep 2

GMA 7 only thinks of Money! if they won’t benefit from something, they will AX it regardless of how the viewers react!
Super Rookie was a good example!
They also often change time slots which annoys me!

Now you know how appalled were they with your viciousness on your weak Asianovelas?

And I will be giving you the list of your ‘casualties’ as shared by my fellow commenter in PEx and Tsinoy respectively.

From Harmony_Rose:

mga casualties dahil sa ratings

Love Letter
Sweet 18
Summer Scent
18 vs 29
Super Rookie
Good Luck
My Strange Family
Love In Heaven
Foxy Lady
Lovers In Prague
Meteor Garden 2

and now…. Hwang JiNi

give hwang jini a chance!

from koreanoveladik:

honestly di ko na nga matawag na tru blooded kapuso ako laluna kapag basta basta na lang pinupull-out yung mga korean series without considering na me mga followers na mga ito. even if i have seen super rookie, hwang jin yi atbp before their gma airing, i still want to have the pleasure of seeing them dubbed in pilipino. sadly, ganito nga ang ginagawa. wag sanang umpisahan ang isang bagay kung walang consideration sa damdamin ng mga taga subaybay at pagkatapos ay bigla bigla, wlang kaabog-abog na lang tatanggalin sa ere. sa korea man me mga dramas that suffered in ratings even if they were good but they still aired them till completion. puro ratings at pera na lang ba ang ipagmamalaki ng gma? paano ang integrity? tama na yan. nakakasakit din ng damdamin. ako i mwatch shows that i truly enjoy and i dont have network preference anymore. pareho lang naman silang me good and bad shows. buti na lang me cable para pag wlang mganda sa 2 rival local networks, one can freely choose to watch the show he/she enjoys.

ps: dapat tapusin nila ang airing nito para malaman ng mga koreanovela fans kung gaano kaganda itong hwang jin yi series na ito compared dun sa boring and dull film version nito ni song hye kyo. walang sinabi ang performance ni shk compared sa ganda ng portrayal ni ha ji won. am not kidding. im a full house/bikyo fan but sad to say, hwang jin yi film is a great ho-hum. kaantok ang bagal ng pacing at di kasing kulay ng tv drama

Now you see how appalled are they?

GMA Network, when will you start listening to the viewers’ pleads and respecting them as well?

I understand that you aim for profits and ratings but you should be aware that there are still some viewers of any of your Koreanovelas.

I am afraid that, someday, you will no longer air any Koreanovela just because they no longer becoming such a hit like your past K-dramas do.

If you are all damn persistent with your immature attitudes, then don’t expect some respect from each of us.

Good thing ABS-CBN still continue airing any of their Asianovela whether they hit or not, pop or flop, win or lose to its counterpart. It’s a matter of customer satifaction.

One more thing, your dubbers are committing faux pas on Korean/Chinese word or name pronunciation. Do you want me to apply on your network as a pronunciation instructor?

Since audio-visual media is soooo powerful, and if you’ve committed any fallacy and faux pas, you’ll be driving your viewers to stupidity. You are making them carrying the same pronunciation/enunciation faux pas just like their ancestors/predecesors.

haaaayyyy….

*the correct pronunciation of geomungo (거문고) is

KO-MUNG-GO

read: KO-MUNG-GO

not: GYO-MONG-GO!

*and utang na loob, the correct pronunciation of Joseon is

CHO-SUN (note: the u in this form should be pronounced in schwa sounding form [ə])

not JO-SHON!

*lastly, EUN HO is correctly pronoucned as UHN-HO (“uh” as “ə”), not YOON-HO!

“Hindi tanga ang mga manonood”, just like what Hwangjini quoted yesterday.

from Journal Online:

Ed de Leon is becoming so annoying. What’s his problem on Koreans and why the hell he has to nitpick on them in some of his articles—-from Korean dramas to Korean actors/actresses as well? Why does he had to harbour resentments on them whereas these dudes/dudettes absolutely has nothing to do with him nor even did a bad thing on him?

Here is his article by the way.

And if you happen to spot his articles in Pilipino Star Ngayon, Journal Online (Taliba), and Balita (I think two years ago), you will understand why I rant so feistily on him.

I am not defending Koreans by the way, eventhough Korean Dramas are such my guilty pleasures and dreaming of Song Il-gook to be my husband one day. In fact, I also harbour some resentments on them due to issues on their being racist and arrogant and Lee JunGi spewed his extreme hatred and abhorrence on Philippines and Filipina girls as well. But bashing Koreans without prior justice simply because they are harming our entertainment industry (harming? duh, if it is, then why our local series still topple the popularity of Asiandramas?), or simply they personally offended you is kinda’ shallow to write about it. It is not an expression of nationalism. You just simply bash on them.

So I replied him this:

Ed, each day that I read your articles, it seems that you’re carrying some heavy resentments on Koreans.

I am not Korean, but lagi na lang Koreanovela at mga Koreano ang pinag-iinitan mo? Have they done anything wrong to you yourself?

Worse (and even ridiculous) you had the nerve to correlate Ysabella with Dae Jang Geum, which I find tooo insipid. Paanong naging parang Jang Geum si Ysabella samantalang Seo Jang Geum is already a historical figure and her “career” in the palace has shifted from cooking to medicine while Ysabella has remained a cook only turned to be a lady vengeance.

Masyado kang stereotype.

Take Jumong for instance. Walang puhunan sa Jumong? Come on, wala pa bang puhunan iyung Php 8Million (or sabihin nating higit pa kasi ang benta ng MBC dito is US$ 8M, and convert that to pesos!)?

Wala ring masamang ipaglaban ang sariling atin but sometimes you have to open your eyes on the crappy side of our showbiz and Pinoy dramas as well. Hindi puro positive lang tinitingnan mo just like you do on Koreanovelas where all you did is to look at their negative side ONLY. Go Figure!

At ang showbiz nila, hindi kasing parang perya at cheappangga tulad ng sa atin, if you only know what I mean.

And by the way you judge Koreans in your columns, it’s like accusing them of having “western-like” attitude na hindi angkop sa ugali natin. Baka hindi mo alam kung gaano ka-conservative ang society nila kesa sa atin, kasi kung maganda ang kultura natin at conservative, bakit malapit nang maging “prostitution capital of the world” na ang pinas and “most corrupt in asia“?

And don’t get me started in whatever you say. I know that Koreans look down on us just because we’re just a friggin’ 3rd world country, and I’m harbouring grudges to some of them upon hearing some sordid stuff about them. They are racist (some), but if you’ll compare their racism to the American racism, mas madaling maunawaan ang sa Koreano. First, they never had the reputation of being a goddamn imperialist like US and Japan. Second, they are able to look back at their history and nagtatanda sila sa mapait na nakaraan kaya ganito sila ka-unlad ngayon. Third, it’s in their culture na huwag makihalo sa ibang lahi. Mas grabe pa nga tayong maging racist kesa sa kanila kasi ultimong kalahi natin dinidiscriminate natin based on skin color alone and at the same time we kiss on white asses!

I am not underestimating everything about Philippines. I am just being frank about our country alongside the sordid details that surrounds our society.

Kaya stop making pralala on some so-called good things on Philippines (even though I can see some) and at the same time bashing on other races. It’s sooooo superficially insipid.

I simply replied him that way because I couldn’t take his rationale for bashing Koreans for the love of our country and our entertainment industry as well. It was goddamn self-righteous kind of commentary! Do you think you will garner empathy and respect if you are self-righteous?
Do you think being self-righteous is great?

I guess Ed should analyze why am I calling him that!

As far as bashing Korean Dramas are concerned, he constantly do this! Why doesn’t he face the truth that themes featured on Korean Dramas are way parallel to reality than ours? Why doesn’t he face the fact that Korean Dramas are even fast-paced than ours kaya hindi sakit sa ulo manood ng Korean Drama dahil wala ka nang iisiping ano ang mangyayari. Kaya instead of thinking what will happen next, you are able to think of something more important. Why doesn’t he face the fact that at least, Korean producers doesn’t need to add another so-called twists or include another controversial figure to make the show rate so well (insipidly, which happens most in our TV series) and lastly, why can’t he face the truth that it’s easy to find some moral/inspirational values in Korean Dramas that are applicable in everyday lives because it doesn’t try so hard to be heavy and the characterization is balanced.

Come to think of it, in our culture, the sympathy is mostly drawn on female lead characters but since most of their roles consists of prim-and-proper, underdog, maltreated to the point of almost not being able to fight back, our dramas usually ending up sucking big time! Worse, it’s not balanced, and producers put on heavy emphasis on villain’s evil-ness para mas kainisan at hindi boring ang magiging dating ng storya. So instead of getting annoyed with a villain and laying our sympathy on the protagonist, we just end up 10x being annoyed with a protagonist for being to dimwitted to fight back.

So in the end, we can’t easy figure out the moral values in our dramas because we focus much on entertainment value per se due to our annoyances on antagonists and adrenalin rush we always feel with some new twists. Another thing, the themes usually featured on our dramas is usually overkilled ones, too formulaic, too trite and one-dimensional. They don’t have anything else to offer but kilig, pain experienced with a villain, etc. They couldn’t offer something that tackles everyday issues like infidelity, family, and political issues just like Korean producers do with Eyes of Dawn, The Sandglass, Rosy Life, Terms of Endearment and Historical Dramas. If Ed persistently declares that the events happening in the likes of Jewel in the Palace, Hwangjini, Jumong, Heo Joon etc. are damn unparallel to our current society, then he is absolutely narrowminded-dimwit. No offense.

Before Ed de Leon accuse Korean culture as “corrosive” to our society, he should think first where we first inherited our culture (mostly Spanish, di ba, kaya hindi na nga tayo halos asian eh!), analyze what kind of culture Korea has, which one is even repulsive: being the “next divorce capital of the world” or “next prostitution capital of the world”, which of the two nationalities are more nationalistic, and he should review the plots of Korean Dramas and compare them to our local dramas. Internet is widely available, so it isn’t expensive to log on to Wikipedia, DramaWiki, Soompi and other blogsites.

Well, multiply is currently performing site maintenance that is why they are temporarily out of service. And I can’t post anything I want there. Damn!

It’s just irritating because multiply is my only posting dominion and I have created lots of dominion thru multiply, so if they will be encountering problems, I will not be able to post nor to view my articles there…. sheeeezzz!!!

Well, I am hoping that multiply will be back to normal by tomorrow. If that persists, I will possibly move my other articles/posts to this site. I hate it when they are having problems because it’s in multiply where you can find posting and organizing damn easy. All of your pictures, articles, videos, etc… are instantly organized in multiply

Update: I’ve just recently checked multiply, and all went okay now… for posting everything.

Right now, I post everything I want in this blog whenever there is a problem in multiply or simply depending on my mood.

I’ve just came across a Rickey Yaneza POV with some excerpts from PEP.com and GMANews.tv.

ABS-CBN tops Nielsen survey in 3 market segments (GMA News)

ABS-CBN emerged as the preferred channel among affluent Filipinos, teen-age audiences, and families of overseas Filipino workers.

This latest finding was according to the Nielsen Media Research, which conducted a survey aimed to give a clearer picture of the viewing habits of the three market segments cited.

The research and survey was administered through personal interviews around urban areas.

Nielsen described the word “affluent” as those viewers who are living in posh “gated villages” with income higher than P50,000 a month. The teens are those who belong to the 13 to 19 age bracket, regardless of economic status, while OFW beneficiaries are those with a family member working overseas.

This is pretty much in-line with conventional thinking. Again, good to have some data to back up our theories.

I still have to digest the result of the 13-19 age bracket and OFW families. It’s highly likely that shows like Super Inggo and Kokey really do appeal to a young audience, as well as the ABS-CBN loveteams like Kimerald.

Once upon a time, the C and D class, which is a majority of the population in Metro Manila, preferred ABS-CBN. This survey does not show the results of that. I am thinking they prefer GMA.

=================================================

Here is my take:

Just because it’s a survey, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s way believable.

First off, who the freakin’ idiot among ABC class would think of watching most of Daytime and Primetime shows of ABS-CBN and GMA respectively? Since most of them are cable subscribers, it’s a sure thing that there a lot of great shows from great networks (cable, preferably) for them to choose from. I bet, instead of sticking to local VHF and UHF channels, they’d rather go to the likes of Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, AXN, HBO, Cinemax, Star Movies, Star Chinese Mandarin (meron pa ba niyan?), ESPN, JackTV, Channel [V], MTV Philippines, 2nd Avenue, ETC, Solar Sports, some Korean /Japanese/ Chinese networks, CNN, Fox News and NBC that showcase more quality shows. And even if it is assumed they are subscribed to SKYCable, I don’t think they will stick to the likes of ANC, HeroTV, Myx and Lifestyle Network. Like I said, ang daming pwedeng pagpilian and hindi lang basta ABS-CBN related networks ang panonoorin nila. Kung may pwedeng panoorin, I guess PGKNB, Deal or No Deal and PBB series.

Do you think that the age brackets of children and teens of the said class would bother watching the likes of Super Inggo, Kokey, Sana Maulit Muli, Pangarap na Bituin, Maria Flordeluna, Walang Kapalit, Ysabella, Rounin, Lastikman etc…etc… whose plot organization has been getting even more dimwitted? Do you think they would bother watching Wowowee and Princesa ng Banyera on Daytime?

Think about this: What if you are in your Schooling years and happened to be studying in some posh schools? You won’t hear them talking about shows from local networks, I bet, and they will bluntly tease you when they sensed you that you are watching shows of local networks.

While I don’t generalize all from ABC class, but my assumption stays firm. I’ve studied in Kostka School and finished my High School there (no bragging intended) and majority of the student population ARE rich kids. Almost all of them are sent-outs from Ateneo, La Salle, Miriam, Assumption, Southridge, Woodrose etc….. Do you think how fucking affluent are they, and at the same time are stereotypically having colonial mentality? If they hear about a local show, expect aversion from them. They will pan them straight: JOLOGS! SQUATTER! CHEAP! Pagtatawanan ka lang nila for finding out that you watch those.

Ask my sisters—who came from schools like Miriam and St. Scholastica—-and they will tell you they’d rather watch networks outside UHF and VHF channels respectively.

Same thing goes with Young Professionals coming from the same class. With their features, you won’t think they watch shows from local UHF and VHF networks either. In Call Center and BPO industry, you won’t find them talking about ABS-CBN and GMA Primetime shows. If you happened to be with them, you’ll be encouraged to watch English shows from Cable Networks mostly. Sa Informatics nga (where I had my Call Center Training Program) they bash telenovelas and telling you to limit (or stop) watching those since they aren’t freakin’ helpful in enhancing your English Proficiency Skills. And I bet, these people from Informatics don’t even watch Maging Sino Ka Man, eventhough rabid Kapamilya fans will flaunt that the said show consists 25% of the dialogue is English.

TFC? Of course, ang tagal-tagal na ng TFC while PinoyTV is still under expansion. Hindi mo talaga maaalis sa Pinoy ang loyalty, at the same time you can’t erase from them an “umay” feeling towards a network, food and other commodities. TFC is still preferred by many Pinoys worldwide but GMA PTV is now growing and growing. My uncle OFW has told me years ago that they have been waiting for a GMA network in Saudi Arabia, and “umay” na siya kay Kris Aquino.

Siguro kung class C and D iyan paniniwalaan ko. Besides, since Class C and D dominates Metro Manila, they prefer GMA back then, now it’s GMA.

to MissPeachie:  hahaha! you are so ludicrous!  You  never gave an intelligent argument in Eimichiko blog. Instead, you just ended up insulting the intelligence level of Kapuso viewers, pre-judging on my argumental ability and just bragging on your money, your social status and your jetsetting activities. How snotty?  You have given comparisons in full detail the differences of ABS-CBN and GMA  but all you ended up is just counteraccusing on Kapuso onliners as ultimate bashers, can’t give a good argument etc…etc…  stereotyping Kapusos as jologs thinkers.

Para survey, ang dali mo naman napaniwala, so much for your generalization and fallacious assumptions. As for your utter bragging, I don’t think a sane posh person won’t flaunt that at the height of the argument, same thing goes with underestimating a person’s intellectual/argumentative capacity. Kahit ang pinakamayabang na coño, never nilang gagawin iyan. Napaka-insipid kaya. Does that mean madali kaming mapapaniwala na ang mga sosyal is watching ABS-CBN…ABS-CBN…and ABS-CBN? Wahahahha! Rubbish! Big Time!

Meanwhile, I also a basher and resort to nitpicking on others. However, do you observe MissPeachie that your fellow Kapamilya fans is doing that…even worse? Why don’t you go and check Pinoy Exchange forums under Entertainment Thread (Local Movies and TV) so that you can see how too emotional and rabid your fellows are? Worse, they even resort to below-the-belt attacks and even worse… death threats (a commenter named Super lashed that few months ago “magbantay-bantayon ka’t patayon kita!”)?

Aakusahan mong mga insipid commenters at ka-argumentuhan samantalang we never resorted to such stupid threat? Hahahhaa!

Poseur style. I say it right! I can sense how poser-to-be-richy you are with your arguments. I’ve never heard any from posh and affluent people having an argument like that and even bragged about their ‘thang’!

For more info, here is the flow of argument in Eimichiko Cbox. Check MissPeachie’s arguments for you to know.

11 Oct 07, 20:08

RoxyBathory: since all these kids watching are mostly Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, ETC, JackTV, HBO, 2ndAvenue, AXN, Cinemax. You won’t hear them talking about local UHF and VHF networks.

            hehehhe!

Yesterday, I just came a cross a so-called fearless prediction (fearless prediction daw o! charosera!) of a Kapamilya Rabid Fanatic in Eimichiko.com:

7 Oct 07, 22:41

Kokey: FEARLESS PREDICTION ko sa Ratings kanina: KKK=22% and AgentX44=16% vs. PacquiaoBarrera=34.9%

Here is my take:

Kokey, with the recent TV ratings released in Abante Tonite, I am dead sure you na mapapahiya ka BIG TIME:

LINGGO (Oktubre 7):

Pacquiao vs. Barrera: Will to Win 50% vs. Love Spell 8, Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo 19.2%, Agent X44 11.7% at ASAP 5.3%;

Showbiz Central 21.7% vs. The Buzz 12.5%;

Kap’s Amazing Stories 33.1% vs. TV Patrol 16.9%;

Tok Tok Tok 33.4% vs. Rated K 19.6%;

Mel and Joey 26.2% vs. Goin’ Bulilit 20.1%;

All Star K 21% vs. Sharon 14.4% at That’s My Doc 12.3%;

Fulhaus 15.7% vs. Sunday’s Best 8.9%.

So…. What can you say now? I guess you and the rest of your horde of Tarkatanic Kapamilyas are now embarrassed on your seats due to your wrong assumption that the Pacquiao fight on GMA-7 will remain in 30’s. Look: it hit 50%! Unbelievable, isn’t it, and of course, you will turn into a suspicious mode until you scream in your seats that the ratings given above are fabricated. Hindi ba matanggap ang katotohanan? Hahahhaha!

And that is what ABS-CBN get from pitting their 2 blockbusters to Pacquiao fight, as if they can topple the said bout with Juday and Vhong starrers, and they also did that last April or May of this year when they pitted Sukob against Pacquiao-Solis fight.

GMA, on the other hand, when Pacquiao-related fight was being aired by ABS-CBN last year, GMA never showcased anything to topple Manny and even set aside the network war as their support for Manny. All they did was airing of SOP replays, not minding whether they rate or not. Have you thought of that, dolts?

Don’t get me started by flaunting all about nationalism crap, ‘coz it obviously doesn’t manifests from you. Yeah! Your network had no intention to make a profit whatever, but what they did is something ludicrous. That’s what they get from letting go of Pacquiao and Solar Sports. Ano ‘yun? Parang they have just acquired (or used, shall we?) Solar Sports only to be ditched out in the end? Tsktsktsk.

And also Kokey, here are my attacks to your so-called logic on Koreanovelas and my penchance for them:

Kokey: sabi ni Roxy ayaw daw nya sa mga puro pakilig eh ang mga koreanovela na patay na patay sya dito, puro naman pakilig ek ek ever…hindi nya iniisip bago magreact ang RoxyBathory na yan no?..

That’s a stark manifestation of your ignorance, hijo! Para mo na rin sinabing kilig-based ang mga historical dramas (their main forte, so far alongside action and family dramas) like Jumong, Jewel in the Palace, The Sandglass (which I perceived right now as the “shelved one” by ABS-CBN), Eyes of Dawn, Dr. Heo Joon. So much for your generalization.

Ayoko talaga ng pakilig—-as in, lahat naka-sentro sa kakikiligan.

Siyempre, you can never erase some romantic substance from each of TV Series; however, in the case of some Koreanovelas—-especially to top-notch ones of all time—- they don’t merely focus on romantic side alone but rather on the goals and objectives of each character, particularly the lead one. Pansahog lang ang romance ‘ika nga, and if they have romantic comedy series (e.g. My Name is Kim Sam Soon), they can go more than just a romantic comedy and can eventually transform into an inspirational one.

Majority of GMA-acquired series—-especially Historical and Real life-issues-related ones—-are way better than ABS-CBN-acquired Asianovelas where “kilig-and-romance” is widely centered in each of them. I guess all you know about the term “kilig” is kissing scene, bed scene, away-bati scenario and physical compatibility among love tandems. Are you offended? Well, you deserve it… hahahahha!

And speaking of GMA series—-excluding telefantasyas—-at least the formula of GMA series are no longer centered in what we call “kilig”.

BTW… I guess you (Kokey) still don’t realize and can’t accept that your Network is still suffering of creative diarrhea kaya naman gulo-gulo ang plot ng mga recent drama series ninyo sa pagdagdag ng pagdagdag ng twists kuno.
